After weeks of intense matches, the 2024 June Beginner Tournament is complete. In a particularly exciting set of matches, the top three finishers had multiple successive tie-breakers in the process of figuring out who would be crowned champion. The tournament was broken up into two stages: a preliminary group stages, where people in the same group fought for the most wins; and a playoff stage, where the winners of each group fought through the semifinals and finals in a single match-elimination style. Ultimately, OliveIsAWord emerged victorious. In a very close second, after a mishap in one of the blitz matches was GoldenGeneral_0. A big congratulations, and thanks to all those who participated.
